Javis for Claude

Last updated: 2 October 2026

Search and read your Javis voice transcripts, summaries and personal wiki from Claude.

What Javis is

Javis, made by DeepShare AI, records and transcribes the conversations you capture with the HiJavis iOS app. It writes summaries of them and builds a personal wiki from them. The Javis connector lets Claude read that material while you chat. Claude can also add sessions to your wiki and review the Gmail threads Javis shortlisted for you.

The connector only reaches your own Javis data. It cannot see anyone else's account, and Javis does not receive your conversations with Claude.

Before you start

Connect Javis to Claude

claude.ai and Claude Desktop

  1. If Javis is listed in Claude's connector directory, open Settings → Connectors, find Javis, and click Connect. Otherwise, click Add custom connector, name it Javis, and enter the URL https://mcp.javis.is/mcp.
  2. Sign in with your Javis account.
  3. Review the consent screen, which lists what Claude will be able to read and do, and approve it.
  4. Back in Claude, turn the Javis connector on for a chat from the tools menu.

Claude Code

Run claude mcp add --transport http javis https://mcp.javis.is/mcp, then run /mcp in Claude Code to sign in.

Tools

Javis provides 15 tools. Thirteen only read your data. Two change it. Javis marks those two as changing your data, so Claude normally asks before each call to them; whether and how it asks depends on your Claude settings, not on Javis.

Read-only tools

ToolWhat it does
List voice sessions
list_sessions_tool
Lists your recorded sessions, newest first. Can be filtered by date range or conversation group.
Get voice session
get_session_tool
Shows the details of one session.
Get session transcript
get_transcript_tool
Returns the full transcript of one session, with speakers. Very long transcripts are shortened, and the result says so.
Search transcripts
search_transcripts_tool
Finds sessions that mention words or phrases, with matching snippets. Can be limited to a date range.
List conversation groups
list_groups_tool
Lists the groups your sessions are organised into.
Get group transcript
get_group_transcript_tool
Returns the transcripts of the sessions in one group, oldest first, 20 sessions per call by default (up to 200); Claude can ask for the rest. Very long results are shortened, and the result says so.
List session summaries
list_summaries_tool
Lists the AI-written summaries of your sessions, for all sessions or one.
Search wiki
wiki_search_tool
Searches your personal wiki. Can be limited to one page type, such as entities, concepts or decisions.
Get wiki page
wiki_get_page_tool
Opens one wiki page, with its links to other pages.
List wiki pages
wiki_list_index_tool
Lists your wiki pages, optionally of one type.
Get wiki activity log
wiki_get_log_tool
Shows recent changes to your wiki, such as sessions added.
Export wiki pages
wiki_export_tool
Returns full wiki pages in batches, optionally only those changed since a date.
List Gmail threads awaiting review
gmail_candidates_tool
Lists the email threads Javis shortlisted from your mailbox as possibly relevant to your wiki, grouped by wiki page. It does not search or read the rest of your Gmail. Threads are shortlisted only while Gmail is linked and Gmail suggestions are on for your account; linking Gmail does not switch them on by itself.

Tools that change your data

ToolWhat it does
Add sessions to wiki
wiki_ingest_tool
Starts turning one voice session into wiki pages: a source page for the session, plus new or updated pages on what it covers. The work runs in the background and usually takes one to five minutes; the outcome normally shows up in Get wiki activity log. Ingests requested this way run one at a time per account. With no session named, it picks the most recent session that is at least five minutes long or has at least 20 transcript segments, has a summary, and is either not in your wiki yet or has new summaries since it was added (a session whose page you deleted is not picked again), leaving out sessions with a failed ingest recorded in the last six hours.
Confirm or discard Gmail threads
gmail_candidate_decide_tool
Confirms shortlisted threads, which starts adding them to your wiki in the background (Javis reads each thread from Gmail, so Gmail must still be linked; the reply does not say whether that worked, and if it fails Javis tries again on a later Gmail check while Gmail stays linked, with Gmail access, and Gmail suggestions stay on), or discards them, which removes them from the review list. Discarding a thread that was already added to your wiki undoes it: its source page is removed from your wiki and kept as a deletion marker, which still holds the summary and can still be returned by wiki_export_tool (see the Privacy Policy); anything already merged into other pages stays. Works on threads already shortlisted for you.

Example prompts

What did I talk about in my Javis sessions last week? Give me a short summary of each.
Search my Javis transcripts for “launch date” and tell me what was decided.
Open my Javis wiki page on the product roadmap and list the pages it links to.
Add yesterday’s Javis session to my wiki.
Show me the Gmail threads Javis shortlisted for review, and discard the ones that are newsletters.

Disconnecting

In Claude, open Settings → Connectors, choose Javis, and click Disconnect. In Claude Code, run claude mcp remove javis. Claude then stops using Javis. Any access token already issued keeps working until it expires, within one hour. A refresh token that is not used expires after 30 days.

Disconnecting does not delete anything in Javis. To delete your data, delete your account in the HiJavis app.

Privacy

Javis sends Claude what the tools you use return, plus your Javis account identifier and email address inside the access token. The Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how Gmail data is handled, and how connected AI assistants use your data.
